Mark is an IFMGA climbing and ski guide with 25 years of experience based in the alpine village of Wanaka. He leads Ice Axe’s new New Zealand Ski Touring Expedition, is the Senior Guide for Harris Mountains Heli-ski and senior guide for Bill’s Trips in Gulmarg, India. He was the first person to climb the Queenstown Lakes District’s 18 mountains over 2,500m, has guided nine ski and climbing expeditions to Antarctica and 20 expeditions to the Himalaya including summiting Mt Everest. Earlier this year Mark had a successful kite skiing expedition to climb one of the most remote mountains on Earth; Mt Spectre in the Gothic Range of the Transantarctic Mountains. They spent 60 days in Antarctica, travelling over 1,700km with loads nearing 200kgs (440 pounds) each!
