Apr 2016 | Svalbard Test Expedition Aron Anderson and I skied 100 miles to test gear and sit ski for our upcoming South Pole Ski Expedition called Pole Of Hope. We will attempt to ski from the coast of Antarctica to the Geographic South Pole.
Iceland Ski Expedition I guided 3 skiers to the Troll Peninsula and then continued to ski over 30 first descents and swam in many hot springs as we made are way around the coastal mountains of Iceland. |
Nov 2015 | Ice Axe Expeditions Antarctic Peninsula Ski Cruise I led 111 skiers and snowboarders for another successful ski expedition and were blessed with several days of deep powder and big smiles. Ice Axe Foundation sent LIVE feeds to over 2500 students and was successful sending the first LIVE feed to Facebook from the Antarctic which has received over 1.6 million views. |
Apr 2015 | North Pole I led husband and wife team Peter and Anne on a Last Degree to the Geographic North Pole. We tested some new Tom Tom products (Bandit camera) as well had a successful and fantastic trip. |
Nov 2014 | Ice Axe Expeditions Antarctic Peninsula Ski Cruise. I led 120 skiers and snowboarders to the Antarctic Peninsula and were blessed with great skiing and great weather. |
Aug 2014 | Ice Cold Gold I returned to Greenland to star in Animal Planet’s #1 show Ice Cold Gold. We filmed near Illulisat, Greenland for 2 months and I was responsible to guide the cast and crew as well as was a character in the show. |
May 2014 | Greenland Ski Expedition I led 9 skiers to Sisimuit, Greenland for some excellent skiing. We were blessed with deep powder, amazing couloirs and fantastic weather. |
Dec 2013 | Willis Resilience South Pole Expedition Parker Liautaud and I skied the fastest from the coast of Antarctica to the Geographic South Pole. We completed the 437 miles in 18 days 4 hours and 33 minutes. |
Nov 2013 | Led 120 Skiers and Snowboarders to the Antarctic Peninsula Ice Axe Expeditions Ski Cruise. We pioneered some new areas and had outstanding weather. I was also able to bring my mother on her first trip to the southern continent. Ice Axe Foundation sent LIVE feeds to over 3000 students during this expedition. |
Apr 2013 | North Pole. Led two adventurers on a Last Degree to the Geographic North Pole. Karl Pettijohn going for his climbing and polar Grand Slam. He has climbed all 6 highest peaks on 6 continents and has completed both North and South Poles. Now he needs to climb Everest. Vanessa O’brien became the first American woman to climb all Seven Summits and complete both North and South Poles. She aims to climb K2 soon.
I guided the Warren Miller Entertainment crew for the 65th movie Flow State to SW Greenland for a ski adventure with all star cast of America’s Fastest skier Ted Ligity, Michelle Parker and Mark Abma. We skied new descents near Manitoq and Sisimuit, Greenland. It was my 5th Warren Miller movie. |
Jan 2013 | Expedition Leader/guide, Stand Up Paddleboard Expedition, Rio Nego, Brazilian Amazon. Guided team of adventurers on 10 day expedition on the Rio Negro. Activities included stand up paddleboarding (SUP), night paddleboarding, fly-fishing, rain and flooded forest hikes, and cultural village visits to deliver school supplies. |
Sep 2012 | Stand Up Paddleboard Expedition from Cuba to Key West, FL Attempt. Attempted to SUP along with professional adventurer Frank Fumich from Cuba to Key West, FL. The team waited in Key West for 2 weeks and decided to give it a go when the support boat lost an engine 76 miles from Key West. Decided to regroup and wait for another weather window that never materialized. The team will attempt again in July 2013. |
Aug 2012 | Lake Tahoe Paddleboard Circumnavigation. Completed a circumnavigation of Lake Tahoe (76 miles) on a SUP with fellow pro paddler Adam Freeman in 16 hours 33 minutes. The goal of The Paddle was raise awareness and funds for the Ice Axe Foundation www.iceaxe.org and The High Fives Foundation. |
May 2012 | Expedition Leader/Guide, Arctic Ski Cruise aboard the sailing vessel Arctica II. Led the Warren Miller athlete and film crew above the Arctic Circle for first ski descents along the Spitsbergen coast. Featured in 2012 WME movie “Flow State” with athletes Jackie Paaso and Aurelien Decroz. |
Apr 2012 | Expedition Leader/guide, Two and a Half Men North Pole Expedition. The members of Team Two and a Half Men, all met each other at the 2007 150-mile stage race, the Gobi March. After this successful expedition, it leaves only two more for the team for the “triple crown”–the South Pole and the summit of Mt. Everest. It was an honor to guide the three athletes to successfully achieve their polar dreams. Expedition Leader/guide, ICE TALKS North Pole Expedition. Third expedition with Parker Liautaud. The expedition focused on collecting snow samples that contained isotopes. The aim of the expedition was to contribute to the global dialogue and awareness surrounding global climate change. |
Jan 2012 | Expedition Leader/guide, Push Expedition. Led Push team to the Geographic South Pole. The Push expedition covered 75 miles in up to -35 degree temperatures for nearly two weeks, with Grant pushing in a custom sit ski built for the most inhospitable place on earth. Team reached the South Pole on January 17th, the 100-year anniversary, to the day, of one the Pole’s first explorers, Caption Robert F. Scott. Grant became the first paraplegic athlete to trek to the pole. |
