We’re excited to announce this 15-day ski touring expedition to climb and ski one of the greatest untapped ski destinations on the planet. The Cordillera Blanca offers long valleys leading to massive glaciated peaks. This is a rare opportunity to climb and ski four peaks in three different valley’s of Huascaran National Park in the Cordillera Blanca.

Nevado Pisco (5,752m) is a very straightforward an achievable climb, most of the way is not steep and not technical, Nevado Vallunaraju (5,686m) located in the llaca valley, Nevado Ishinca (5,560m) and Nevado Tocllaraju at (6,030m) located in the Ishinca Valley.

Arrival

Arrival, transfer to Lima Hotel.
Day 2

Flight from Lima to Huaraz, night in Huaraz.
Day 3

Acclimatization tour to Churup Lake 4,450m. 7:30am transfer to Pitec, 3 hour hike/climb to Churup Lake, 4,450m, return to Pitec, night in Huaraz.
Day 4

Transfer from Huaraz – Llaca Valley – Moraine Camp hike 4,850m.
Day 5

Moraine Camp - Vallunaraju Summit (5,686m) - Moraine Camp - Huaraz. Summit and ski descent day. Overnight in Huaraz.
Day 6

Huaraz – Llanganuco – Pisco Base Camp 4,600m.
Day 7

Base Camp – Summit Pisco 5,752m – Base Camp. Summit and ski descent day.
Day 8

Base Camp – Llanganuco – Huaraz. Overnight in Huaraz.
Day 9

Rest Day. Overnight in Huaraz.
Day 10

Huaraz – Pashpa – Ishinca Base Camp 4,300m
Day 11

Base Camp – Ishinca Summit 5,560m - Base Camp. Summit and ski descent day.
Day 12

Base Camp - Moraine Camp 4,900m.
Day 13

Moraine Camp – Summit Tocllaraju 6,034m – Base Camp. Summit and ski descent day.
Day 14

Base Camp – Pashpa – Huaraz. Overnight in Huaraz.
Day 15

Morning flight to Lima. Depart for home.

: If any trip must be delayed due to bad weather, cancelled or delayed transportation, sickness or any other situation for which Ice Axe Expeditions cannot make provisions, all costs incurred during such delays must be borne by trip members.
: All requests for cancellations must be received in writing (via email). Cancellations received up to 180 days prior to departure are refunded less an administrative fee of $500 per person, with no exceptions. If cancellation is received between 180 and 95 days prior to departure, the 50% deposit is forfeited. Please note that for cancellations received within 94 days prior to departure, all deposits are forfeited.

If cancellation occurs within the 94-day period and full payment has not yet been received, the full penalty will still apply and unpaid monies are due immediately. If for any reason the voyage on the vessel is cancelled, passengers will not be entitled to make any further claim for compensation or damages, for any loss, consequential damage, expenses, loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation arising, whether or not such cancellation arises in whole or in part as a consequence of any act or omission of Ice Axe Expeditions or its servants or agents. For these and other reasons mentioned below, passengers are strongly encouraged to obtain trip cancellation insurance.

: We require that you have at least $100,000 in medical evacuation insurance coverage. Your insurance policy should cover ski mountaineering/hazardous sports. We cannot confirm each client’s policy individually; it is your responsibility to make sure your policy will cover you while you participate in your activities of choice on the expedition. We recommend including TRIP CANCELLATION/INTERRUPTION coverage in addition to the mandatory medical evacuation coverage.
