Overview

Follow the trade winds along one of the most iconic kitesurf corridors in the world. This 12-day expedition traces Brazil’s legendary northeastern coastline, moving from the vibrant energy of Jericoacoara through remote fishing villages, endless sand dunes, warm lagoons, and open-ocean downwinders.

Designed for riders who want more than a single destination trip, this journey is a curated progression through Brazil’s most celebrated kitesurf zones — combining world-class wind conditions with boutique stays, seamless logistics, and a deeply immersive sense of place.

Each day brings a new stretch of coastline, new water, and new terrain. Ride glassy lagoons in Tatajuba, chase powerful wind lines in Barra Grande, and carve through the surreal dune landscapes of Atins and Santo Amaro, where freshwater lagoons meet vast desert-like sands.

Itinerary

  1. Arrival

    Arrive in Jericoacoara, Brazil; the perfect launch point. Settle into Brazil’s legendary kite culture with an opening session and sunset over the dunes. 1 night at Villa Praia or similar.

  2. Day 2

    Transfer to Tatajuba. A remote lagoon paradise known for silky flatwater and steady wind. 1 night at La Ventana Tatajuba or similar.

  3. Day 3-4

    Transfer to one of Brazil’s most iconic kitesurf destinations, Barra Grande. 2 nights at Pousada BGK or similar.

  4. Day 5-6

    Transfer to Tutoia; a quieter stretch of coast with wide beaches and excellent access to the Maranhão region’s windswept waters. 2 nights at Oiti Beach Resort or similar.

  5. Day 7-9

    Transfer to Atins. Remote, beautiful, and wild — where the Lençóis Maranhenses landscape begins to unfold in dramatic dunes and lagoons.

  6. Day 10-11

    Transfer to Santa Amaro. Finish deep in the dunes, riding surreal freshwater lagoons surrounded by white sand and endless horizon. 2 nights at Rancho das Dunas or similar.

  7. Day 12

    Depart São Luís for home.
