Hola Amigos:
We all arrived Ushuaia, Argentina to beautiful sunshine and temps around 55F. I am missing an important item — my skis — but Aerolenas Argentinas promises me it will be here today. Our team hiked up the Martial Glacier this morning for some exercise and everyone seems fit and ready.
The Australis is in port and we will board the ship today and sail down to Porto Williams, Chile. The Drake Passage is looking rough(?) We are attempting to go between two storms and it looks like it will be a doozy. The crossing will take approximately 3 days and cover 600 miles. We will hopefully have the wind at our backs. I will attempt to keep everyone updated.
Feeling great to get some good corn snow turns in in the Southern Hemisphere, and ski season has started. The Ice Axe Team is excited and ready to go! …
