South Pole 100 is an expedition to complete the unfinished part of Earnest Shackleton’s 1909 route to the Pole. The team will be led 112 statute miles to the Geographic South Pole by Doug Stoup. Their aim is to arrive on the 14th December, the 100th anniversary of Roald Amundsen becoming the first person ever to reach the pole, which he completed in 1911. Doug has led this team at both the North and South Poles.
