This custom itinerary is designed for those with an adventurous spirit, offering the rare chance to ski, snowboard, and trek among the White Continent’s untamed peaks while enjoying the safety and comfort of a modern expedition vessel.
Experience true modern exploration as you travel to a land covered by glaciers, never conquered by man. Travel through alleys of icebergs and study the blue mystery of such extraordinary formations of nature. Explore harbors and bays while surrounded by clouds of seabirds and become enveloped in the raw magnificence. Witness the profound beauty and isolation of a land covered by ice. Listen to glaciers calve and observe with wonder minke whales, black-browed albatross, snow petrels, penguins and seals.
Through daily landings, lectures, and guided excursions, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the region’s history, biology, and geology—and the delicate balance that defines its ecosystem. Whether you’re actively exploring on skis or quietly observing the rhythms of a penguin colony, this expedition offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with a continent few will ever experience so intimately.

From Our Clients
“This trip blew my mind. Antarctica is beautiful and truly wild and untouched landscape, and I got to snowboard on it. The Ice Axe team and the Ocean Albatros crew were really shining on this trip. I never felt uncomfortable on any of the carefully picked terrain, and the lines were fun enough without adding too much risk. My guide kept us moving at a great pace and got us some great runs. The crew of the ship are truly amazing people who really went out of their way to make us comfortable. And don’t even get me started on the amazing food. If you have the opportunity to go on this trip with this team and ship, you should do it, you won’t regret it.”

“As a non-skier travelling with a keen back-country skier, I wasn't sure how I'd find the trip. It exceeded all my expectations - the beauty of Antarctica is mind-blowing, and to be able to experience it and the fabulous wildlife at close quarters in a kayak, zodiac or snowshoeing made it into more an expedition for me too.”

“This trip exceeded all of our expectations. We were amazed by the sheer beauty of our Antarctica ski locations. We learned so much about the history of the areas, and the continued dedication to protecting this wild and scenic land. The ship and its staff were over-the-top caring and professional in treating us like we were royalty every day. Our guide not only took us on the most beautiful ski tours, but brought laughter and love to our daily experiences. We were fortunate with beautiful weather, calm-ish seas, and we saw whales, seals, and many penguins. A once in a lifetime trip, but would I do it again? Heck YAH, sign us up tomorrow!”
