Denali, Alaska USA

Skiing Denali 20, 320ft 6,195m

Denali is one of the most beautiful mountaineering objectives in North America. It happens to be the highest as well. The panorama from Denali’s summit includes Mt. Foraker, Mt. Hunter and Mt. Huntington.

The Denali ski expedition starts with meeting your Ice Axe guide in Anchorage. We will then take a shuttle to the charming town of Talkeetna where we will spend the night and do our final preparations. From Talkeetna, we will take an amazing flight to the SE Fork of the Kahiltna glacier,  where we will ascend the West Butress first pioneered by Bradford Washburn. The expedition takes between 14-20 days, with time to allow for inclement weather, acclimatization and optimal summit attempts. The ascent requires intermediate mountaineering skills and is physically and mentally demanding. We will ascend the West Buttress to14,200 ft ., set up advanced base camp and acclimatize and assess the snow conditions on the Meisner Couloir, Orient Express routes. This climb requires proficiency in glacier travel, crevasse rescue, cramponing, and expedition camping skills.

Advanced skiers only. Skiing off the summit of the highest peak in North America is an expedition you will never forget.
